iBox 1.3c (TMS)
Software - all TAPs

iBox 1.3c (TMS)

This TAP is for TMS only.

This TAP shows a better infobox with the current, second and third EPG event.
The infobox automatically disappears after a channel change after you had enough time to see it.
If you want to see it permanently then activate it by pressing Info.
The second or third event will be hidden when information about current recordings is shown instead.
You can navigate through all available EPG events in the infobox. The current position and the maximum number is shown.
If there is extended epg data available for an event then this will be shown by a blue round "i" symbol (press info key).
If a recording is played and if the epg data does not fit to the file name (due to the firmware bug) then there will be a warning sign next to the blue round "i" symbol and showing the (wrong) epg data will be blocked.
In play mode a small hard disk next to the green play symbol shows that the clip is being played from an USB device.
The realtime line shows the predicted end time of the current clip (even with considering forward, rewind and pause).
There will be a volume bar in the upper left edge if you change the volume or press mute.
There will be a format bar in the upper right edge if you change the resolution or the aspect ratio.
If activated there will be a trick mode bar instead of the normal infobox if you press forward, rewind, pause, play, record or stop (position is adjustable).
If the infobox is hidden (or you do not use the sleep key for exiting the tap) you can show a digital segmented clock by pressing the sleep key.
If there is a long text in the infobox (channel name, event name, event description) then the scrolling will start after two seconds. The scrolling will be repeated according to the individual text lengths.
The TAP has 6 modes: 1. live TV, 2. live radio, 3. timeshift, 4. play MP3, 5. play recording, 6. play media.
The timeshift mode will be shown in orange color. If you do a timeshift within a running timer on the current channel then it will be shown in red color.
If activated you can create or delete a recording timer (time padding included) for the selected event by adjusting the menu settings "Function of the OK key" or "Function of the Rec key".

TMSCommander 1.1
Software - all TAPs

TMSCommander v1.1 for 2400/2100/7100+

This is a replacement for TAP/TSRCommander for the TMS, called TMSCommander. What this TAP does is once a TAP has the appropriate code in its event handler, TMSCommander can call it to tell it to display its menu (or perform other functions). It basically discovers at run time which TAPs it can talk to, then you scroll to that line and press Menu to call the menu of that TAP or press the red key to stop it.

Fixes/changes in 1.1
- Allow TMSCommander to work without the language file – it will default to English (this is for those users that find it difficult to get the lng file onto the box)

Fixes/changes in 1.0
- Support UserEvent, ie. If the TAP supports this capability then the Yellow button is enabled on the TAP screen to call the TAP’s function for this event.

Fixes/changes in 0.9
- fixes the reboot issue with disabled TAPs

Fixes/changes in 0.8
- add general language support (German/English language file included) - thanks to Olaf/Firebird
- Firebird's mods to disable taps

Fixes/changes in 0.7
- Allow user to change between OK or Menu to select a TAP's menu
- Info button cycles between different screens: Description, Capabilities, TAPIDs, Authors

Fixes/changes in 0.6
- fix bug where infoscreen clearing leaves hole in menu
- refresh list after stopping tap

TMSTimer 2.06
User Rating: / 8
PoorBest
Software - all TAPs

This TAP is a replacement Reservations / Timers display for TMS machines.

It is based on the AutoScheduler TMS code, and shares a look and feel. It is intended to integrate the two at some point, but it was felt this would be a useful TAP by itself.

In use, it simply displays all the timers, but it is able to sort them by time, name and service, and to filter them to show all, record only, or play/watch only. It also improves on the default reservation listing by giving you one key access to the timer list, and by showing files with the program names always (the default reservation list often shows timers with service names instead).

It defaults to activation by the Recall key (looks like a curved arrow), but this can be reconfigured. It is also fully integrated into TMSCommander, allowing TMSCommander to both activate and stop it.

It will also delete timers, manually create new ones, edit existing ones, and export and import them.

Another useful feature is the ability to turn on a feature which auto-fixes timer names to make the resulting recording files PC friendly - eg strips * : / etc from the names.

Main Screen

Here is an alternate view with logos that fit with the background colour scheme - also available in the logo pack.

v2.06 24 July 2010:

  • Use of new TMS style fonts throughout
  • Changed the font choices on the main display to suit the new fonts
  • Added an auto fix to PC safe file name option - strips the various non-PC friendly chars out
  • Added menu item to show credits as well as using the info button
  • Fix: Fixed display of 12 hour times which was not displaying 12 am or 12 pm times correctly
  • Fix: Added Up and Down arrow graphics on config menu to make it clear there are other options
  • Fix: Fixed bug with corruption of the display when showing the credits in some circumstances

v2.05 15 July 2010:

  • Added German and Finnish keyboards for our European friends
  • Time on top of each screen is now 12 hour if 12 hour mode set (but still 24 hour in edit screen)
  • Add ability to export, import and delete all timers. Can export, do a factory reset, then import and all the timers will be there. If you are brave you could attempt to manually edit the timer file (tab delimited text)
  • Add option to display timers in sentence case even if they are actually in all CAPS or similar
  • Source code now available from above link

v2.04 13 July 2010:

  • Added display of time in 12 hour mode (but not edit).
  • Added the ability to change the name of Play only timers so you can remember why you set them.
  • Years are now shown YY not CCYY to save space.
  • Keyboard now reflects shift mode when in sentence case (i.e. it changes Caps and lower as required.) Shift will change case for one keypress and is reflected in the keyboard shown.

v2.03 10 July 2010: Bugfix of v2.02 - fixes keyboard window floating on display after tap exit
v2.02 9 July 2010:

  • Adds the ability to display logos for services (see notes below)
  • Services can now be scrolled within the timer edit window without going to the extra selection screen
  • Additional help icons and text
  • Added support for TMS Commander 1.0 and higher UserEvent control - directly activates the Config Menu

v2.01 7 July 2010: Minor bug fixes
v2.00 6 July 2010: Major update

  • Adds the ability to create new timers and edit existing ones.
  • Can now be called from within the File List (user configurable key)
  • Supports 4 user configurable exit keys - allows simple integration with other TAPs and functions

v1.03 1 July 2010:

  • Fixed bug where not correctly recognising the TRF7160.
  • Minor cleanups to screens
  • Added passthrough of Mute button - can now mute and unmute while tap is up
  • Added the ability to call the TAP up from within the Topfield Guide - key to do this can be configured. Default is recall.

v1.02 26 June 2010: Added auto-select first line of the timer list, recognition of SRP-2100 and SRP-2400 models, more keys as choices for the activation key, RED now saves the configuration as well as Record, SBS EPG Character fix.

Notes: The SBS EPG Character fix will scan all timers everytime the timer screen is displayed, and if it finds a timer with an unprintable character in the first position of the name (which is common on SBS shows in Australia), it will automatically remove this character and fix the timer name. If you leave this option set to OFF, a small red # will be displayed for timers with this bad character, but the timer will not be touched.

v1.01 20 June 2010: Added option to show service number instead of logo/service name.

v1.00 12 June 2010: Initial Release
