AutoExtender (AX) monitors all running recordings with a minimum length of 3 minutes and marks terminating events with bookmarks. It also extends the duration of the recording automatically if an event would otherwise be truncated. This happens in 2 ways: - Static extension.
When a recording is started AX examines the distribution of events during planned record time. If it is obvious that the last event would be truncated by less than half of it's length duration will be extended to include this event completely plus additional 12 min.
- Dynamical extension.
During statically extended duration AX is able to decide whether the event has terminated. If at 1/2 min. before end of record the event is still running the recording will be extended by 5 min. If the event had already started with a delay that amount is added. The runout check is done repeatedly until the event is terminated.
It does not matter if the recording has been started directly or by timer. Intermediate changes of duration are registered and taken into account.
