Topfield creates Personal Video Recorders (PVR), which can be used to receive and record digital television channels. Also music (MP3) can be listened with Topfield products. Topfield features can be enhanced and corrected with TAPs (Topfield Application Programs). It is for example possible to watch digital camera images (e.g. jpg) and timers can be created automatically by search words using TAPs. It is also possible to correct bugs with 3rd party patches. This site lists all TAPs and patches developed for Topfield.

EPG TAP showing three or six channel programs in one screen. Favorite programs can be color coded with different colors. EPG data is stored into the hard disk so it will be available right away when Topfield powers up.

New features:
- Automated favorite-based timer creation
- Favorite extended with new properties
- Subview: Favorites
- Subview: Favorite's search results
- Subview: Automatically recorded programs
- Shortcut keys (color keys) for swapping between subviews
- New settings to Timer settings menu

Changes:
- Format of favorite file updated (the new format is not backward compatible)
- The name of key configuration setting of Favorite categories subview changed in settings file: FavoriteListKeys -> FavoriteCategoryListKeys
- Renaming of subview: Favorite program list -> Favorite categories
- Renaming of subview: Movie list -> Movies
- Renaming of subview: Timer list -> Timers

Bug fixes/optimization:
- Incorrect name of "Show6Channels" setting changed in PlasmaEPG.ini file

TGD Builder is a Java application which converts online programme information from the RadioTimes website, XMLTV files and ClickFinder database entries to the TAP-readable TGD format. It includes considerably more information than xmltv2tgd (for example). In order to simplify the TGD import, the epg_upload.ini file required by the TAPs is generated as well.

Harvests Topfield EPG data and save it in MEI format. This makes the EPG data available to MEI applications.
