Topfield creates Personal Video Recorders (PVR), which can be used to receive and record digital television channels. Also music (MP3) can be listened with Topfield products. Topfield features can be enhanced and corrected with TAPs (Topfield Application Programs). It is for example possible to watch digital camera images (e.g. jpg) and timers can be created automatically by search words using TAPs. It is also possible to correct bugs with 3rd party patches. This site lists all TAPs and patches developed for Topfield.

Updated expiration date (12.03.2009)

EPG TAP that shows single channel programs and many channels' current programs. This TAP also saves EPG to the Topfield's hard disk, so that EPG data is availabe right after startup. Automatic recording using search words is also possible. Search words and timers can also be created by using a computer.

jags conflict
I did have trouble with jags newer versions. I found that for some reason it was conflicting with automove TAP. I like the look and feel of jags so I dont use automove. Small price to pay for stable toppy. Tried Mystuff TAP and works well - just prefer the look and feel of jags.

It's broken
My Toppy hasn't crash after getting rid of JAG's EPG. Now using EPGnavigator with UK AutoScheduler.

JAG's EPG
I have been running this in my all Topfield Digiboxes, several crashes, but nothing seriously, but now my patience is running low, because of this f*cking Expiration day thing. In a month I have to do about 6-8 updates to My and friends boxes. This isn't right. It's about time to make this freeware or some other paying methods, but not paypal or visa.

Toppy started crashing after latest upda
My Topfield started random crashing. I suspect that it is caused by Jag's EPG. My friend suspects the same (random crashing started after latest update). Does anyone else have similar problems?

No more expiration dates for me. I switched to PlasmaEPG and UK AutoScheduler. Goodbye Jag's EPG...

If the next Jag's EPG comes with an expiry date I'll change to another EPG. 
 
Just heard that 3PG or PlasmaEPG might be worthwhile.

Nice EPG, but...
EPG itself is nice and integrated support for timers with program names is awesome, but... 
 
This expiration date BS is extremely annoying.

Nice EPG
Good EPG with automatic timers with keywords and possibility to add extra time to start & end of programs. A bit annoying feature is that when adding timers manually the tap it's not possible to resolve (or even see) overlapping timers on different channels easily.

By far the greatest EPG.. one minor thing I miss.. a support for favorites lists... now that we Finns have the "cable ready" FW's we are stuck with all the channels on the network display on JAG

Couldnt agree more, by far the best looking EPG (a matter of taste of course :) it also has very powefull timers that just makes it so much more usefull - took me a while trying out diff. combinations of timer/EPG TAPs before i found Jags - it is a big mouthfull at first, but it is not as difficult as it seems, now i wont change

If you like grid EPGs, this is must to have EPG. 
I have been running JAGS on my toppy without a single problem, Rock solid operation ! 
Very easy to use.
