Topfield creates Personal Video Recorders (PVR), which can be used to receive and record digital television channels. Also music (MP3) can be listened with Topfield products. Topfield features can be enhanced and corrected with TAPs (Topfield Application Programs). It is for example possible to watch digital camera images (e.g. jpg) and timers can be created automatically by search words using TAPs. It is also possible to correct bugs with 3rd party patches. This site lists all TAPs and patches developed for Topfield.

EPG TAP with grid and list views. Keeps also an own copy of the EPG data in memory and saves it into disk, so that there is no need to wait EPG to load as Topfield's own EPG does.

Functionality in the current release includes for example:
  • Finnish and German versions available
  • EPG as a channel/programme grid.
  • EPG as a programme list by channel.
  • EPG for both TV and Radio channels.
  • Timers displayed in the EPG.
  • Show all timers as a list.
  • Create, modify and delete timers from the EPG and from the timer list.
  • EPG data gathered continuously in the background and saved in memory and to disk so that EPG data is always available.
  • Optional automatic daily channel scan to gather EPG data for all channels.
  • EPG configuration to allow options such as the daily channel scan start time to be set.
  • Support for  DescriptionExtender and UK Auto Scheduler TAPs.
  • Support for programme extended information.

Almost perfect
When used in conjuction with UK auto scheduler, this EPG tap is unbeatable. The only niggles for me are that if the programme is about to/or has started, you cannot set it to record via the EPG, and the date & time stamp is not configurable (but at least it does it, unlike some others)

EPGnavigator v5.1c
This release should fix the problem where EPGnavigator starts with a screen of lots of empty boxes and no text.

Works now in PVR5100c too
Now it works. Problem was before the leap day only.

Does not work in PVR5100c
I tested it in my PVR5100c - fw 3.16. It does not work. It shows blank blue colored squares only.

Does not work in PVR5100c HDMI
I've had this in my old box PVR5100t and it worked nicely and I liked it! Now I tested it in my new box PRV5100c HDMI, it does not work. It only shows blank squares :(
