Topfield creates Personal Video Recorders (PVR), which can be used to receive and record digital television channels. Also music (MP3) can be listened with Topfield products. Topfield features can be enhanced and corrected with TAPs (Topfield Application Programs). It is for example possible to watch digital camera images (e.g. jpg) and timers can be created automatically by search words using TAPs. It is also possible to correct bugs with 3rd party patches. This site lists all TAPs and patches developed for Topfield.

This TAP turns the coloured buttons into ad skipping keys during playback of a recording or optionally timeshifting. The skip durations are customizable. It also optionally allows the use of the numeric keys to specify an absolute time to jump to, or to jump forward a specified number of minutes rather than a percentage. Also binary jump is included.

The zip file now contains a masterpiece version which also seems to work on the 6000 models.

Very nice, small issue

When selecting -say- minus 2 minutes at the beginning of a program, the status still says minus 2 minutes even if there is -say- only a few seconds to skip back. I think the status should indicate the the real amount of time, if this is smaller than the selected skip time.

This is a great TAP. I've modified the white key to go back 1 minute.

Simple and Elegant
Exactly what I was looking for. The simple dialog displayed when skipping is brilliant and makes it very clear to less technically minded people what's going on. Very much appreciated.
