Topfield creates Personal Video Recorders (PVR), which can be used to receive and record digital television channels. Also music (MP3) can be listened with Topfield products. Topfield features can be enhanced and corrected with TAPs (Topfield Application Programs). It is for example possible to watch digital camera images (e.g. jpg) and timers can be created automatically by search words using TAPs. It is also possible to correct bugs with 3rd party patches. This site lists all TAPs and patches developed for Topfield.

Re:
If you have a crypted recording on your HDD, RecCopy makes a copy of it and decrypts it while copying. Afterwards it puts the original file into a folder or deletes it -- just as you want. Of course you need a CAM or a SmartCard so that RecCopy is able to decrypt the recording!
Well, I like this TAP!

Re:
Might be for encrypted sattelite channels that need a Common Interface (CI) card in the front. Australian Terrestrial toppys have a blank slot where these cards go.

I tried to ask better description from developers from German forum.
Me: "So, could rest of the world get some kind of description from you? Thanks."
Ibbi: "It's a super duper, all you can think of, must have decoding tap for encrypted recordings with all interfaces existing in this world to other taps."

This was all I got...
