About these Logos

Unfortunately I could not get the old UK type logos (logo.dat) to display properly on the new TMS machines. The new machines do however support direct display of JPEG images. Whilst I could have replicated the older mode of display, in the end I decided that it would be easier for most folk to use jpeg images as this would allow people to easily customise their logos.

To use the logos, simply load a jpg image to the Toppy. The images should be 60 x 38 pixel, and a number of Australian logos are included in the zip file. The trick to getting them to work is that the files MUST be named the same as the service - eg ABC1.jpg, 7TWO.jpg, Nine High Definition.jpg. In the ZIP you will find a folder with logo's that have had an RGB 30,30,30 grey background added - this makes them a perfect match for TMSTimer and AutoScheduler TMS and makes the logo's appear transparent.

Loading them

If you have FTP set up, you can load them to /ProgramFiles/Settings/Logos or to /PhotoFiles/Settings/Logos (you will probably need to create the directory). When the program wants a logo it will search the first folder, and if it can't find a match to the service name, it will look in the Photo Files folder and if it still can't find a match, will just display the service name.

If you don't have FTP you can still load them from a USB drive/stick. Go to the Topfield menu, select Entertainment, then Photo Album. Create a new folder named Logos (case is important). Now you can bring up the file list, navigate to your USB, and copy the files to the Photo Album. Once copied, move them into the Logos folder. I know it is a bit of fiddling, but you should only need to do it once.

The jpg files can be changed on the fly - they are pulled from disc every time they are needed. If you want the same icon for two different services, make a copy, and give each the name of the required service.

I hope that this method means anyone can now create new logos and there is no need to bind them/convert them to a logo data file or similar. Version History

The current release contains Logos that are more compressed than those provided in the AutoScheduler TMS and TMSTimer packages previously. This should fix some screen corruptions that may have been occurring previously.

This package also add the grey background logos that are suited for AutoScheduler TMS and TMSTimer.
